My favorite films of 2009
These are my absolute best films, the ones that in a special way touched my heart, blew away my brains or made my eyes very happy. They’re the ones I wouldn’t mind watching again, and for some I’ve already seen twice. Listed in alphabetical order if you don’t notice. Films that got a general release (500) Days of Summer / J’ai tué ma mere / A Serious Man / A Single Man...

Great films of 2009
These are the films I had a lot of fun watching, or found they had something very interesting to bring to the table, but there were little things here or there that prevented me from falling totally in love with it. It’s also films that got crazy hype and I didn’t think it deserved so much praised, whilst still being good. All around, great times at the cinema. Films that got a...

Hype busters of 2009
There are those films that get incredible hype, and then I see it and I just don’t get how it could be loved to much. Or I watch it first in a fest and hate it, and then hear all about the people who got crazy over it. For all the films seen this year, it seems there’s even more I shoulda, coulda, woulda seen but didn’t for a variety of reason. The major one being lack of time. The festival titles I’m really pissed I missed Accident / The Bare Essence of life / Enter The Void / Fatso / Heartless / High Life / Micmacs à Tire-Larigot / Perrier’s Bounty / Private Eye / Un Prophète / Symbol / The Yes Men...

A very good year for travels
The year is drawing to a close and I’m pretty amazed at how much I managed to travel this year. A little countdown: - Paris, France - There for the Unifrance Rendez-vous but also to reunite with a lover, visit of the Rodin Museum and great French food. - Amsterdam and Rotterdam, Netherlands - Some time spent at Dushan’s, then the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Trip ends with...

So I’ve been hearing about Tumblr for a little while. Seems to be a good way to share stuff, more personal than a corpo page, less intrusive to the followers than Facebook… We’ll see how it goes.
